Strewth, have you heard of a ripper little radio station based in Orange, NSW? It's entirely run by volunteers, a bonza effort if you ask me! They pump out a cracking lineup of shows, keeping the good times rollin' all day long.
Think chill tunes on "Time for a Break," a road trip soundtrack on "Music Highway," or a cosy cuppa-and-music vibe with "Music Café". You reckon you could handle spinning tunes for a few hours each week? Plenty of listeners love the down-to-earth feel, which reminds me of a time I accidentally played a song twice during a shift at a uni radio station, years ago... The DJ who followed me nearly choked on his sausage roll.
Seriously though, this community station is a real testament to the power of volunteering. It's a fantastic example of how a group of passionate people can build something truly special for their local area, bringing the community together one song at a time.
